Benefit House Concert this weekend in Oak Park!

Now that The Coyote & The Crow is pressed and released (and available on http://www.briantravis.com) George Landress and I have been brainstorming various ways to promote the music to get the widest range of exposure as possible. All the ideas, including the most obvious ones (music videos, publicists, radio airplay and booking tours) require a great deal of financial investment. The Brian Travis Band have always been a band that has miraculously managed to carry on without a real budget. All the money we make usually goes right back into the machine, and we’ve been running in the red for far too long. A lot of the time, it is the generosity of the fans and true believers who have supported our efforts over the years that have kept us moving forward in a very expensive music business.

In an effort to raise funds for these promotional expenses our dear friends Donna and Bethann have organized a benefit house concert at Bethann’s lovely home in Oak Park this Saturday afternoon between 2pm and 6pm.

We will be accepting donations at this event. Suggested donation is $20, but feel free to give more if you can, or if you cannot afford to give much, anything helps and no one will be turned away.

The festivities will include the very first public listening of The new BTB CD, The Coyote & The Crow starting at 2pm, along with a toast to christen the new project with producer George Landress (and some red wine!). After the final chords of the new CD fade, the Brian Travis Band will take the stage (built by Bethann and company) under the majesty of a giant oak tree and perform 2 sets of BTB classics as well as a good amount of the new material from the new CD.

This will be the first time that The Coyote & The Crow will be available for sale at one of our shows, and there will be a merchandise table where you can purchase the new CD.

This very special event will be captured live to digital video and will result in a short youtube film in the weeks to come.

Since the purpose of this event is to raise funds for the promotional costs of getting the new music heard, we are encouraging anyone who cannot attend to donate whatever amount possible (big or small) via paypal to tastethismoment@hotmail.com

Every little bit helps and if you feel that we have been putting in the hard work and deserve the opportunity to promote this new CD to it’s maximum potential, or if your life has been enhanced in some way by our music and you want to give back and support our creative efforts, please either attend the House Concert this Saturday Feb 23rd at Bethann’s / 19 Medea Creek Lane, Oak Park CA 91377 or make a donation to tastethismoment@hotmail.com via paypal today!

I would also like to mention that the new and improved BTB website is up and running and all of our previous albums including The Coyote & The Crow can be purchased on the store page at briantravis.com

I want to thank Gwen W. for all of her tireless work on the new website. Gwen has been the captain of the BTB engine room in cyberspace since the beginning, and I cannot thank her enough for her diligent effort and unwavering belief in this project. We love you Gwen! Thank you for all that you’ve done for the BTB!

In closing, I’d like to say that we are looking forward to a great day on Saturday and we hope to see *YOU* there!!
